State Rep. David Standridge (R-Hayden) has received the endorsement of the Alabama Farmers Federation in his re-election bid for HD34 in Blount County.
Jeff Maze, president of the Blount County Farmers Federation, said the organization’s support is rooted in Standridge’s accessibility and long-standing commitment to the community. “
We are proud to endorse Rep. Standridge because he has a proven record of excellence in serving this district,” Maze said. “He is accessible and attentive to our needs as farmers, and we appreciate his interest in agriculture and our district as a whole.”
Standridge has an extensive background in law enforcement and public service. He earned degrees from Wallace State Community College and Athens State University and also trained at the FBI National Academy and Montgomery Police Academy.
Before joining the Legislature, Standridge served as Blount County probate judge and commission chairman. He is a retired captain from the Blount County Sheriff’s Office and remains active in civic and charitable organizations across the district.
In a statement, Standridge said the endorsement reflects shared values between him and the farming community. “The farmers of this district share the same work ethic and conservative values I do,” he said. “It is an honor to have their endorsement as we continue to work with them to make this district the best it can be.”
Standridge and his wife, Danna, have been married 43 years. Both grew up on farms and continue to raise cattle in Blount County. The couple has three children and five grandchildren and are active members of First Baptist Church of Hayden.
The Alabama Farmers Federation is the state’s largest farm organization with more than 360,000 member families. Its endorsements are made through a grassroots process involving Alabama FarmPAC and local county boards.
