The Alabama Democratic Party has seemed to revel in controversy on social media in recent months, attracting condemnation from the Anti-Defamation League and Jewish groups after the account trivialized the Holocaust — not once, but twice.
Now, the organization says it hopes leave the platform completely in the near future.
On Wednesday, Alabama Democrats posted a link to their new Bluesky social media account, saying that Elon Musk’s platform is “a racist Hellscape at this point,” and they they have got to “plan our exit.”

According to Wikipedia, Bluesky is “a microblogging social platform and a public benefit corporation based in the United States. Jay Graber serves as the company’s CEO and Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey and XMPP creator Jeremie Miller sit on its board of directors.”

Many on the left feel that X, formerly Twitter, does not do enough to moderate content since Musk took over the company. Musk argues that he is protecting free speech for everyone on his platform.
Most recently, the group faced backlash after they made a post comparing the death penalty in Alabama to the Holocaust.

At time of post, the party has not yet deleted their account.
