Lt. Governor Will Ainsworth (R-AL) is urging all Alabamians to complete the 2020 Census ahead of the quickly approaching September 30 deadline.
In a recent video to constituents, Ainsworth said, “I want to encourage you to fill out your Census.”
“It takes literally five to six minutes,” he explained. “You can do it on your phone, you can do it online.”
“Let’s talk about why it matters,” Ainsworth continued. “We’re looking at $13 billion [at stake]. We could potentially lose a congressional seat. It’s our kids’ future — it’s education, it’s healthcare, it’s about our road system. It’s a big deal.”
He concluded, “We need everybody’s help. We need you to encourage your family, your friends to fill it out. … Help us get the word out. We need to participate in the Census.”
Alabama is dead last in census response rate. Each of us can set aside 5-6 minutes to ensure we do not lose vital education, infrastructure, and economic development dollars. Share this video. Remind your friends and family. Complete YOUR 2020 census.https://t.co/phcfeQkwU6 pic.twitter.com/VSbPjMEmqt
