7 Things: Trump (not that one) has thoughts on Alabama’s gambling bill; Rogers and Tuberville slam campus protesters; and more …

7. A Dothan crime ring involving six kids, all under the age of 16, has been broken up and six firearms, including an AR-15 style rifle, were seized during investigations into shooting incidents in Dothan after the Dothan Police Department’s Special Response Team and Aviation Unit executed multiple search warrants. The charges are numerous and include second-degree receiving stolen property related to stolen firearms, possession by certain individuals prohibited from carrying firearms, third-degree burglary, and possession of marijuana

6. President Joe Biden is not content with America becoming a dumping ground for the world’s problems via unfettered illegal immigration. He is now calling American allies, like Japan and India, “xenophobic” in a speech about how great immigration is as he compared them to Russia and China. Biden tried to make this an economic issue declaring this is “not a joke” for some reason and citing these nations as examples of countries facing economic challenges due to their reluctance to embrace immigration, an argument advanced by the Alabama super-majority Legislature recently.

5. It’s official, President Joe Biden is on the ballot after Governor. Kay Ivey signed a bill moving the deadline for Ppresidential nominees to get on the general election ballot. This all follows multiple attempts in other states to keep former President Donald Trump off their ballot and to throw the presidential election into chaos. It also came after Republican Secretary of State Wes Allen alerted Democrats that they needed to be aware their convention was after the ballot deadline.

4. The lawyer for Stormy Daniels, the payee in the “hush money” trial of former President Donald Trump, says that the money was not “hush money.” He also talked about how former Trump fixer Michael Cohen was so upset he didn’t get a job that he thought he might kill himself which speaks to his motivation as a Trump adversary. In other self-defeating news that will make you ask, “why is this happening?”, the prosecution played a tape about financing the payment where the former president asks, “what financing?”

3. UAW stands with Hamas and the campus crazies who are causing chaos everywhere, according to U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Saks) who criticized the UAW leadership for supporting agitators on college campuses, specifically addressing their stance on anti-Israel protests. UAW President Shawn Fain condemned the mass arrests of demonstrators, urging their release and denouncing the response against students and academic workers, implying they are somehow victims of oppression.

2. U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) channels the University of Florida’s President (and former U.S. senator) Ben Sasse by declaring, “We’re not running daycare centers on our college campuses.” The chaos on college campuses continues with 2,000-plus arrests nationwide and multiple campus in a state of disarray so President Joe Biden finally addressed them directly, meekly stating, “violent protests are not protected” as freedom of speech.

1. There is a plan to save the gambling bill, it involves Donald Trump Jr., misspellings, insults, lies, and losing. In a statement on Twitter, the former president’s kid wrote. “Why’s their senate refusing to let the people vote on a clean bill to legalize the lottery & fund education when 45 states already do it? Wouldn’t they rather keep the billions of $$$ in Alabama instead of sending it to other states?”, which is odd because this is hardly a clean bill.
