7. Huntsville City Councilman Devyn Keith is in no hurry to prove his innocence and is seeking a delay because of issues with the videos prosecutors have of him allegedly shoplifting from Walmarts in his district. Comically, Keith’s attorney suggests the videos are confusing because they don’t know which alleged thefts they show.
6. Yella Fella says industrial site preparedness is the key to future economic growth. Jimmy Rane is an Alabama billionaire and says, “If the SEEDS Act is fully funded, our state will have the ability to accelerate and expand our site preparation process, as well as Alabama’s inventory of available sites.”
5. An unlicensed exotic club with no liquor license and minors inside was raided and shut down by Decatur police and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Alcohol Division. During the raid of Club Levelz, agents found firearms, drugs, minors, illegal alcohol, and exotic dancers.
4. Make no mistake about it, the defense industry is a big deal to Alabama, it is worth $50.3 billion every year to the state and includes roughly 264,000 jobs. The Alabama Military Stability Commission report put together by the University of Alabama in Huntsville College of Business and shows how important military decisions such as relocation of the Space Command HQ to the state are.
3. Alabama Democrats are now drawing the attention of the national Democrats who are starting to point out the shenanigans in the state party’s rulings to ice out groups the national party demanded to be included. Local mainstream media is waking up too after others call out the party, as usual.

Alabama’s new State House could be constructed where a current state-owned parking lot is but it would be owned, constructed, and maintained by a third party – probably the Retirement Systems of Alabama. The RSA would then receive rent from the state, which is a setup no other state uses, probably because it is odd to have someone with business before the Legislature owning the building it does business in.
1. The Hispanic shooter, Mauricio Martinez Garcia, at a mall in suburban Texas that killed 8 allegedly had a profile on a social media site in Russia where he showed photos of his white supremacist tattoos, praise for the Nashville mass shooter, information about the site of his attack, praise for incels (involuntary celibates) and their attacks, and railed against women. Authorities say he did not receive a single like or share for these posts, which is bizarre.
