7 Things: Sylacauga is latest immigration battleground in Alabama, Tuberville wants ballot integrity but Democrats hate that; and more …

7. The talk about Venezuelan gangs taking over apartment complexes in Colorado was called racist and fake, until the landlord was forced to sell the complex. Colorado landlord Zev Baumgarten has now agreed to sell or dispose of the Aspen Grove apartment complex in Aurora after it was overrun by the violent Venezuelan migrant gang Tren de Aragua, leading to its closure and the eviction of 300 residents. The city of Aurora, Colo., has been grappling with increased crime and gang activity, which residents attribute to its proximity to Denver’s “sanctuary city” policies.

6. After the shooter in a Georgia school shooting was allegedly bullied over LGBTQ issues, which is becoming a trend, Colt Gray’s father told detectives that his son was bullied at school and called gay, and it is now clear the mother warned the school immediately prior to the shooting, as well. The nation supports charging parents over the crimes of their children if they are negligent, not only conservative talk radio shows’ audiences, but audiences of hip hop shows calling for accountability from the parents of 14-year-old Colt Gray, the suspected Georgia school shooter, while co-host Charlamagne Tha God voiced support for both parental responsibility.

5. Vice President Kamala Harris is just lying about her record according to U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) who defended  Harris’s recent policy shifts, suggesting she is being pragmatic to win the election rather than abandoning her progressive ideals. Sanders is not the only Democrat doing this on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” U.S. Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.) supported Harris’ “mandatory gun confiscation” and declared she should continue pushing that plan if elected.

4. Bad news is coming for the media and their Democrats, after a New York judge delayed former President Trump’s sentencing in his hush money case until after the 2024 election, ensuring no criminal punishment before then. Additionally, former President Donald Trump holds a narrow 48-47 lead over Vice President Kamala Harris among likely voters, according to a New York Times/Siena poll, Trump’s support remains steady, with many voters seeking change from Biden-era policies and Harris is struggling for a big moment during Tuesday’s debate and has finally reluctantly agreed to the terms of the debate, hilariously stating, “We understand that Donald Trump is a risk to skip the debate altogether, as he has threatened to do previously, if we do not accede to his preferred format.”

3. As U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) advocates for real ballot security and secure election, former President Donald Trump is declaring that he will hold people responsible for voter fraud, for some reason, this really scares the media and their Democrats. Strangely, the same forces are very upset about non-candidate Robert F. Kennedy now being removed from the ballots in Michigan and North Carolina, with North Carolina Democrats’ decisions having delayed mailing of absentee ballots, both of these states issues are being called disenfranchisement and voter suppression.

2. A report from the House Foreign Affairs Committee accuses the Biden administration of prioritizing optics over safety during the 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal, blaming mismanagement for the deaths of U.S. service members. House Democrats on the Foreign Affairs Committee released a memo defending President Biden’s 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal, countering a GOP-led report that criticized the administration’s handling of the exit. Democrats argue the withdrawal was shaped by a deal negotiated under former President Trump, and they accuse Republicans of politicizing the event without offering viable alternatives.

1. A Sylacauga City Council meeting ended abruptly after 20 minutes when residents raised concerns about the recent arrival of Haitian immigrants, questioning their legal status and impact on the community, Gov. Ivey’s office says they have received “zero facts or communication” on these matters from the feds. Council President Tiffany Nix cut the meeting short, stating there was no reason to investigate or treat people differently based on appearance, while emphasizing that immigrants contributing to the local economy are welcome in the city.” Confusion continues in Alabama over multiple influxes of immigrants, mostly Haitians recently, and State Rep. Ben Robbins (R-Sylacauga) is pressing the Department of Homeland Security for answers regarding widespread concerns raised by residents in Sylacauga. In a letter to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Robbins criticized the agency’s lack of communication, citing fears over the community’s ability to support the influx of immigrants and demanding transparency on the policies and procedures behind the relocations.
