7. An Alabama lemonade stand got a call from the Department of Labor because the mother and the 8-year-old son, who were so successful they will have their lemonade in stores soon, drew the ire of a random Facebook Karen. The DOL said an apprentice program for interested kids was not allowed because only family members can work in the family business, but the complaint actually got Cam’s Lemonade more business.
6. In a desperate bid to stay relevant, former U.S. Sen. Doug Jones (D-Mountain Brook) continues to try to punch up at the man who eliminated him from Congress and destroyed his fluke political career – U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn). Jones’ political play here is to complain that helpful spending that came from a massive spending bill that the GOP opposed can not be applauded. This of course, is not true and only shows Jones to be a novice because, if not, no Democrat can be happy about a GOP-helmed budget that builds a road if they vote against it. Did Jones ever applaud any spending from the Department of Defense Appropriations Act in 2018 or did he demand all military be removed from the state? No.
5. Not allowing gay groups to control the language of the general public on social media could have “dire” consequences, according to gay groups that want to control the language.
4. Trump says he did nothing wrong in a scorching hot legal take, “We did absolutely nothing wrong. This is just another hoax … Nobody said I did anything wrong other than the fake news which, of course, is Fox too.” The fact is, many people said Trump did a lot of things wrong here. Now, Trump is claiming this all just bravado and he was lying about the documents. He is facing 37 counts, possession of these documents and obstructing the investigation into them.
3. Another IRS whistleblower has emerged, this one claims that Joe Biden’s crackhead son evaded taxes by moving earnings from a Ukrainian energy firm through China to avoid taxes. This may not be officially money laundering but it is called layering, and shows he is trying to hide money, but the statute of limitations has run out. He had tax issues going back to 2002 and that should have made him less likely to receive his sweetheart deal.
2. The New York Times has now confirmed that U.S. Attorney David Weiss was stopped from bringing harsher charges against Hunter Biden, the crackhead son of President Joe Biden. This confirms the account of IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley who claimed that Weiss told multiple people the call was not his, meaning it was being managed by the DOJ and bringing credibility to the claims by Shapely.
1. A special session on redistricting has been called by Gov. Kay Ivey to begin July 17, giving the session the minimum amount of time to accomplish its goal and keeping it from doing anything else. A recent Supreme Court ruling on federal elections puts a lot of power in the hands of the state judges and the state Supreme Court, and takes it out of the hands of the Legislature completely as some had argued was required.
