7 Things: President Biden is a mean-spirited elderly corrupt liar; gambling bill faces hurdles in Alabama Legislature; and more …

7. The U.S. intelligence community was using foreign agencies to spy on the Trump campaign and their associates long before the claims of Russian collusion were hitting the airwaves, a new report finds. According to Michael Shellenberger’s Public Substack, former CIA Director John Brennan presented this list to foreign entities so they would start surveilling and manipulating the targets but would keep those actions in the hands of foreign entities as to no violate U.S. law.

6. While the Biden administration continues to suggest that gas prices and grocery prices are down, the reality of their flimsy narrative is that inflation is still over 3%, far above the desired and predicted rate of 2%. But the myth must be sold because admitting that inflation is up 17.3% with gas prices up 30% since Biden took office is a fact that can not be explained away, blamed on his predecessor, or placed on the back of American companies during a rant on Super Bowl Sunday.

5. The bill banning ballot harvesting in Alabama has passed the Alabama State Senate after a foolish filibuster by Alabama Democrats who insist it will lead to people not being able to vote and grandchildren arrested for helping their nanas vote. This sad argument is disrespectful to their core voters and based on absurd lies, so basically it is like any other argument Alabama Democrats will make on contentious issues this session.

4. Speaker of the U.S. House Mike Johnson (R-La.) says the recent Ukraine aid bill is dead on arrival but some are angling to get around Johnson. Johnson is ready to have Republicans write their own bill but the media and their Democrats insist that he give them what they have wanted all along, a blank check for Ukraine.

3. Alabama’s attempt at a comprehensive gambling bill faced its first test yesterday in the State House committee hearing with advocates, opponents, and state agencies wanting a seat at the trough. One of Alabama’s biggest players, ALFA (Alabama Farmers Federation) coming out against it but, in a funny moment, State Rep. Andy Whitt (R-Harvest) asked the ALFA representative if the group would hold its next junket in Alabama instead of Las Vegas like in the past if Alabama passed gambling. It is a good line that did not get an answer but if the question is between Vegas and Dothan, Vegas wins every single time.

2. Americans know there is, at minimum, a two-tier justice system: 64% of those polled by and Reuters/IPSOS poll believe President Joe Biden illegally kept classified documents, while 54% think he “received special treatment because he is the U.S. president.” And the hits keep coming for Biden as  78% of those polled and 71% of Democrats think he is “too old to work in government.”

1. The idea that President Joe Biden is anything but a terrible liar is being decimated by reality every single day. Yesterday it became clear that Biden lied about meeting with a Chinese energy company doing business with his crackheard son while he was vice president. Later in the day, Tony Bobulinski testified, a Biden-family business partner, told Congress that the elder Biden was “the brand” for sale by that business and, “The Chinese Communist Party through its surrogate, China Energy Company Limited, or ‘CEFC’ — a CCP-linked Chinese energy conglomerate — successfully sought to infiltrate and compromise Joe Biden and the Obama-Biden White House.”
