7 Things: New Speaker of the House attempts to keep government open; Britt slams Biden on border; and more …

7. Carjackings and car break-ins are clearly out of control in Washington. D.C. Now, the Secret Service is firing at a group of three that sought to break in to an unoccupied, unmarked vehicle, that they did not know was part of Biden grandaughter Naomi’s security team. Somehow, the three individuals got away.

6. The deal with UAW and the “big three” automakers is leading to higher wages in Alabama for Hyundai employees.

5. The I-59 shootout did not have to happen. Now the mayor has suspended the police chief because no one on the police force knew how to report the stolen car as stolen and that led to the confrontation on the roadways.

4. Israeli defense minister Yoav Gallant announced that Hamas has “lost control of Gaza” and Israel has made it to Gaza’s al-Shifa Hospital and, to the surprise of no one, they found Hamas command centers, rooms where hostages were being held, and terrorists tunnels. In spite of this, the Biden administration, the media, and their Democrats continue to imply that the Israelis need to change their war footing to be “less intrusive.”

3. For some reason as the American media downplays pro-Hamas protestors praising Nazi leader Adolph Hitler, the same media is on a mission to compare former President Donald Trump to Hitler because he says he would be justified in using the federal government in the way he feels it has been used against him and his supporters.

2. While the House fails to impeach Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) wants a solution to the crisis at the border, an end to the crisis instead of managing the mess the Biden administration is continuing to aid and abet criminality at the border. Britt said, “Republicans are offering solution after solution to President Biden’s border crisis, which recently shattered a new record of eight million illegal border crossings since this Administration took office.”

1. Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-La.) will attempt to pass a series of spending bills. He will need Democratic help to do so and that is what got Speaker Kevin McCarthy ousted.
