7. Alabama’s failing non-elite non-mainstream traditional media is worried about Alabama not letting President Joe Biden on the ballot in the state, no such concern was ever raised from collective of low-paid losers over the failed attempts to remove former President Donald Trump from the ballot. Other states, Washington for example, could potentially help Biden get on the ballot, relaying that they would consider an exception for the party on the condition that they submit a provisional certification of nomination by Aug. 20, as stated in the letter to the Democratic National Committee.
6. Former President Donald Trump offered support for House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) amidst threats to his leadership from Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) Johnson finds himself sideways with many in the Republican Party on issues of FISA spying and funding for Israel and Ukraine as they face foreign adversaries, but Trump’s support matters.
5. A disagreement in Alabama’s conservative circles is growing and it is bringing a question to the forefront, “Should we be shoving smut that is available to children in libraries in the faces of officials who are allowing it?” The success of this tactic is without question because once they are faced with the words and images, it is impossible to disregard the argument that they are inappropriate.
4. Yet ANOTHER of many records in Education Trust Fund budgets destroys the argument that school choice is going to financially cripple Alabama’s public schools. Don’t worry, a record general fund budget is happening too.
3. A new poll in the court-ordered racially gerrymandered Second Congressional District, drawn to get a black Democrat member of Congress and a red-to-blue flip, show us what kind of race has developed. In the GOP primary, Caroleene Dobson holds a lead over former State Sen. Dick Brewbaker (R-Montgomery) 42% to 37% with Shomari Figures up 59% to House Minority Leader Anthony Daniels’ 24%. In the general election poll, Figures 45% leads Dobson’s 44%.
2. An online sales tax increase is a tax increase, although many might try to sell this thing in a slightly different way. The justifiable goal of this move is to level the playing-field between local brick-and-mortar businesses and online only retailers by eliminating the tax savings of shopping online, unfortunately it does not do that and that is not why people shop online.
1. Iran attacked Israel with hundreds of missiles and drones, even after President Joe Biden bravely told Iran Friday that if they were thinking of attacking Israel, “Don’t” after telling Vladimir Putin, “Don’t. Don’t. Don’t.” and Iran, “Don’t. Don’t. Don’t. Don’t.” in 2023. Unfortunately for Iran and the anti-Semites on the Left, Israel, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Israel’s Arab allies were able to take out almost of the attackers weapons without incident but now Biden is warning Israel not to respond.
