7 Things: Iran attack awaits Biden decision; Daniels offers rape and incest exemption for abortions; and more …

7. Republicans and conservatives followed Vivek Ramaswamy and a ton of conservative grifters right off a cliff chasing the premise that Taylor Swift, the NFL, and the incompetent Joe Biden team have crafted some massive conspiracy theory to get Biden elected. The NFL and Swift are very popular entities and the embarrassing stupidity of this moment should not be forgotten and those who pushed it should be maligned because recent polls actually show Trump winning the youth vote so conservatives baselessly attacking Swift seems foolish.

6. U.S. Rep. Cori Bush (D-Mo.), who advocated defunding the police, is now under a corruption investigation by the Department of Justice for misusing federal funds surrounding her security. Bush claims she paid her husband because he has extensive experience in this arena and all of this is a right-wing conspiracy where the Biden DOJ is investigating her.

5. Former candidate for president and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has called for U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) to be removed from Congress and deported because she is Somalia-first and that Somalis should, “Sleep in comfort, knowing I am here to protect the interests of Somalia from inside the U.S. system.” The unrepentant Omar is on video admitting, she is Somali first and Muslim second, DeSantis responded by tweeting about Omar, “Expel from Congress, denaturalize and deport!

4. The battle over the recent immigration bill attempt by Congress seems to be headed in the same direction as all of the previous bills – nowhere. House Republicans are demanding real enforcement and a stopping of the flood of humans over our border. The media and their Democrats insist that more be let in and claim Republicans won’t negotiate. All this while President Joe Biden declares that he can’t do anything of note under current law even though he single-handedly made this issue worse with his decisions on day one of his administration.

3. Much to the chagrin of people who want libraries to offer inappropriate materials for children, the Alabama Public Library Service has disaffiliated from the American Library Association after the national group’s radicalism was exposed. This fight over inappropriate library material is hardly over and bills that change how the libraries are funded and how board members are removed will be debated in the next legislative session.

2. Alabama House Minority Leader Anthony Daniels (D-Huntsville), candidate for Congress in the newly drawn Second Congressional District, has offered up a bill that would create rape and incest exemptions for abortions in the state of Alabama. While this was discussed when Alabama’s current abortion ban was passed, and it was suggested it would be added after Roe v. Wade was overturned, it seems unlikely that a super-majority Republican legislature will support such a measure despite its popularity.

1. For some reason, the Biden Administration is noting that they are preparing to act against Iranian proxies across the Middle East, through leaks, statements from the White House, and mumblings of President Joe Biden. The decision has been made but we are awaiting action. Iran promises to respond to the response.
