7 Things: Impeachment inquiry slowly starting; Strong attempting to get parts of the wall built; and more …

7. Families of eight of the American hostages in Gaza asked for an invitation to the White House Hanukkah celebration, but the White House ignored them. These families are desperate and are even asking the White House to make a side-deal with Hamas or cut Israel out of negotiations altogether, which may be why the White House didn’t want them at the celebration.

6. A police shooting of Jawan Dallas in Mobile, where neither of the officers involved was charged after a grand jury investigated the matter, is the subject of a $36 million lawsuit involving “racial justice” attorney Ben Crump. There are multiple police-related matters in the state of Alabama right now including a police officer tasing a handcuffed suspect in Reform and the ongoing matter of Stephen Perkins’ death in Decatur.

5. Special Counsel Jack Smith is now attempting to get the Supreme Court to rule on the issue of presidential immunity for former President Donald Trump to keep his desired timeline for the trial’s start in early March. This is not the first time prosecutors have conveniently acted days after a Biden legal issue was dominating the headlines.

4. U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) is cementing her place as a player in Washington, D.C., and American politics after she endorsed former President Donald Trump last week and she has now announced that she has raised $500,000 for her fellow Senate Republicans. Britt noted, “In the next 11 months, I will continue to do everything within my power to support Republican victories up-and-down the ballot. This includes making sure that good candidates have the resources needed to get their winning messages out to the public. We need to build a team of people who will work together to save the country we know and love.”

3. Talk of gambling in Alabama is starting to gain steam as the year winds down, with State Sen. Sam Givhan (R-Huntsville), hardly a gambling fan, saying that the “absurdities” of “monopoly or an oligopoly to a very limited number of people” are being removed and people are being more intellectually honest. There is also talk of a mid-session special session to deal with the issue of gaming with money going to a Medicaid expansion and/or school choice.

2. U.S. Rep. Dale Strong (R-Monrovia) has inserted language about a border wall that would require that the allocated materials that are currently being stored be used to help build parts of it. The bill notes that there is currently $300 million worth of material that the Biden administration decided to store at $25 million instead of using the material to build the wall in places where illegals are crossing with impunity.

1. An attempt to start an official impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden could officially kick off today in a move that could help compel testimony for Biden associates and family members but there are still a few Republicans that need to be persuaded. Hilariously, U.S. Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.), the manager of one of Trump’s impeachments, a 2016 election denier, and the guy running around calling Republicans antisemitic is reportedly being used by Democrats to argue against pursuing impeachment against Joe Biden and the Biden Crime Syndicate.
