7. California considering reparations
- All of America’s bad ideas start in California and they have a doozy working its way through a California legislative formed committee, Reparations Task Force.
- The 2.5 million Californians eligible could be compensated for the faults of the state of California in five areas that include housing discrimination, mass incarceration, unjust property seizures, devaluation of Black businesses and health care. The compensation for housing discrimination could be as much as $223,000 per person or $569 billion total.
6. Ye gotta be kidding me
- The debate is over, Kanye West is anti-Semitic and his path of personal destruction seems to be speeding to its conclusion after a disastrous appearance on Alex Jones’ “Info Wars” internet show. West’s behavior and appearance was very odd, he was wearing a full black mask, and even Jones himself suggested West was saying things that were strange.
- The quotes from West range from telling Jones, “I like Hitler” to “The Jewish media has made us feel like the Nazis and Hitler have never offered anything of value to the world.” Supporters are now distancing themselves, the GOP Judiciary Committee deleted a tweet and social media app Parler says they are no longer being acquired by West.
5. Americans support probe into Biden, family as AP keeps publishing false info
- The Associated Press has now stealthily edited an article that claimed President Joe Biden was not involved in the business dealings of his family members while he was vice president, but he was. The AP also claims, “there are no indications that the federal investigation involves the president,” while that may be true, that may also change as a Republican House uncovers more from their investigation.
- Americans are signaling that they are completely fine with a probe into President Joe Biden, his self-admitted crackhead son, whoever “the Big Guy” is, and their business dealings with foreign nations, including the Chinese, Russians, and Ukrainians. 62 percent approve of moving forward with the investigation according to a Rasmussen poll.
4. Charles Barkley comments on Hugh Freeze drama
- The hiring of Hugh Freeze as the head coach of the Auburn football team is starting to resemble a Supreme Court appointment. Media outlets and social media sites are filled with half-true claims about the candidate while downtrodden advocates feel hopeless at stopping their target.
- Former Auburn basketball star and NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley took a pause from his less-than-believable transgender activism to offer his support of Freeze. Barkley told aldotcom, “One thing about being in the ‘Bible Belt,’ there’s a lot of people around here who think they’ve never made a mistake in their life.” And followed that up with a questionable anecdote, “I never pay attention to that noise, and that’s what it is noise. Ain’t none of us perfect, but for some reason when you’re in the ‘Bible Belt,’ I saw a sign ‘don’t judge anyone.’ They judge everyone.” Either way, he is all in, “You can’t pay that any attention. The guy’s our coach now. We have to support him.”
3. Another victory for Alabama’s AG
- Attorney General Steve Marshall appears to be racking up Ws against the Biden administration’s ridiculous vaccine mandates. Marshall and 22 other AGs argued in gave of U.S. Air Force members to get religious exemptions on the COVID-19 vaccine.
- Marshall made it clear this is not just about these airmen, “We have protections in place to ensure that an Airman enjoys largely the same rights to religious liberty as his fellow citizens. Those include the Free Exercise Clause and the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.”
2. Tuberville wants a regulatory framework for crypto
- Crypto bros, crashes, and chaos have created uncertainty for investors looking to get into the game. Some have gotten very rich and some have lost it all. U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) compared it to a football game with no rules.
- Samuel Bankman-Fried is the face of this issue and his behavior has drawn the attention of lawmakers who want to get some regulation on this issue through Congress. Sen. Tuberville said the time is to put some rules in place, “Washington, D.C., has [dragged] their feet on the rules and regulations. I’m not big on expanding the government, but we have to have rules.”
1. TikTok is a Chinese app used to harm America, time to ban it
- States could start to ban TikTok from state-issued devices; Alabama does not currently have a ban, and the FCC Commissioner wants it banned. A new Forbes report shows that the Chinese government-owned app is doing more than just data collection as previously believed.
- The report outlines how TikTok was used as a propaganda tool by the Chinese through a network of accounts to criticize candidates (mostly Republicans) and favor others (mostly Democrats). But don’t expect those who complained of “foreign interference” in 2016 to care much about this. TikTok is the only site operating in the United States that does not label posts from Chinese government accounts as being affiliated with the country.
