7 Things: Biden not pardoning his son; the Alabama Literacy Act numbers not as great as we thought; and more …

7. An Enterprise man, Jeremie Michael Spencer, has been arrested and charged with second-degree domestic violence/stalking and first-degree electronic stalking for allegedly placing a tracking device on his ex-wife’s vehicle and making threats against her. The investigation began after the victim reported harassment via texts and calls, leading to the discovery of the video of him placing a tracking device on his wife’s car which could land him in prison.

6. Being critical of a fat pay-for-play and pay-to-win pageant is fat shaming and hateful, according to Alabama’s saddest liberals even though the pageant that selected Sarah Milliken as “National American Miss Alabama” not “Miss Alabama” is widely considered a scam by “pageant people.” But the facts about this whole story are pretty clear: Milliken was selected for her weight, not in spite of it, and the Alabama Political Reporter’s Bill Britt hypocritically whining about how any criticism is bullying and against the “Christian values of kindness and non-judgment” when his outlet under-employs hateful people every day.

5. United Auto Workers President Shawn Fain is being investigated for potential abuse of power and obstruction of the investigation in that actions that may violate a 2020 consent decree with the U.S. Department of Justice. Despite these allegations and additional claims of retaliation against a vice president, Fain maintains the union’s leadership is dedicated to democratic principles and serving its members while pursuing significant organizing efforts and negotiating contracts but the allegations are about union involving embezzlement, bribery and other charges as they try to expand their union into the South.

4. Guns are Alabama’s murder weapon of choice in 83.9% of murders, this is being treated as shocking by aldotcom’s John Archibald who went through the 809 murders in Alabama, with the dubious bonus claim that Alabama is more dangerous than New York, the same non-reports are leading to the FBI claiming crime is down. Guns were used in 634 deaths, knives in 38 deaths, personal weapons in 23 deaths, blunt objects in 16 deaths, drugs in 10 deaths, fire in 4 deaths, asphyxiation in 2 deaths, and poison in 1 death.

3. Federal agents have arrested eight Tajikistan nationals in the United States on immigration charges after discovering potential ties to ISIS, with the arrests taking place in Los Angeles, New York, and Philadelphia. The individuals, initially screened without issues upon entering via the Southern border, were later found to have possible links to overseas ISIS members, leading to their detention by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in coordination with the FBI.

2. For the last five years, Alabama has worked to better how it teaches reading to young students, recently celebrating that 91% of third graders are now reading grade level, though the actual percentage is 77%, with another 14% on the margins. They claim this was a mistake but the simple fact is that progress was far less significant than claimed, real progress has been made with those potentially held back being cut in half.

1. A tone deaf, confused, and vacationing President Joe Biden decided he should speak at a gun-grabbing group’s event on the same day his crackhead son was found guilty on three felony gun-related charges that highlighted how irresponsible the Biden family was with firearms and how they were enabling of Hunter Biden’s lawlessness. Biden is facing 25 years in prison, but it is expected he will never be incarcerated and any sentence will likely be delayed pending an appeal, and a pardon by his father still possible if he is sentenced to jail but President Biden says he won’t do that which is easy to say when he isn’t going to jail.
