Calling it a “critical time” to donate blood, Yellowhammer News’ Scott Chambers gave more information on a blood drive today in Albertville.
“As summer can be a critical time for blood supplies across the Yellowhammer State, One YHN Radio Network affiliate is helping raise awareness about blood donation,” said Chambers. “WQSB Radio in Albertville is holding a community blood drive (today). The Event is called the WQSB Big Blood Drive … from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. outside the studios of WQSB.”
Chambers also spoke about the amount of blood that the radio station hopes will be donated and also what donors can expect in return for giving blood.
“The station, which is at 105.1 on the FM dial, has a goal of raising 105 units of blood,” he said. “The first 25 donors will receive a free movie ticket from Lucas Cinemas in Albertville. All donors will receive a $20 E-Gift Card, Special Donor T-Shirt, Free Food, and can register to win $105.”
