The White House is going to be hosting the first-ever White House Crypto Summit later this week on Friday, March 7 with the opening remarks of the event coming from President Trump himself.
According to a release from the administration, the event will feature guest speakers including prominent founders, CEOs, and investors from the crypto industry while being chaired by the White House A.I. & Crypto Czar David Sacks and administered by the Working Group’s Executive Director Bo Hines.
Upon winning the election, Trump declared himself to be America’s “first crypto president,” and the price of Bitcoin has reflected that. Seeing record highs in the months since Trump’s November victory, the President has pledged to have policy geared towards furthering the use of cryptocurrency across all platforms.
Among Trump’s first executive orders will “support the responsible growth and use of digital assets, blockchain technology, and related technologies across all sectors of the economy.”

“The policy of my Administration [is] to support the responsible growth and use of digital assets … across all sectors of the economy,” Trump said previously while alleging the preceding administration persecuted the industry and governed in a way that was not beneficial for crypto.
Trump argues his administration is committed to providing a clear regulatory framework, enabling innovation, and protecting economic liberty, and hosting a crypto summit at the White House is another step towards proving the commitment to that goal.
