Thursday, U.S. Senate candidate Mike Durant attended an event with the Houston County Republican Women in Dothan.
Over the weekend, video surfaced of Durant refusing to denounce the Lincoln Project before and after the meeting.

“Mr. Durant, why won’t you denounce the Lincoln Project?” a man off-camera asks Durant in the video.
Durant ignores the question and remains silent while walking in and out of the event.
The Senate candidate addressed the situation on Twitter by accusing the Katie Britt campaign of playing “stupid Twitter games.”
“Chief of Staff Katie Boyd Britt has resorted to stupid Twitter games and stalking Mike with her staff,” Durant said on Twitter. “[Katie Britt] refuses to say the election was stolen but will say she stands with Black Lives Matter.”

The Britt campaign responded to Durant’s Tweet saying, “Not sure what’s a bigger lie — this tweet or you pretending you’d debate.”

Durant’s other opponent, U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Huntsville), also responded to the video and tweeted, “I denounce the Lincoln Project and their support of Mike Durant.”

The Alabama RINO PAC has been putting out radio and television advertisements accusing Durant’s campaign of having connections to the Lincoln Project.
