Congressman Barry Moore has secured an official sweep of White House endorsements in his bid for Alabama’s open U.S. Senate seat with a new one today from Vice President J.D. Vance.
Last month, President Donald Trump backed Moore (R-Enterprise) with his “complete and total endorsement,” and today, so did Vance.
“President Trump needs proven allies in the Senate who will fight for his America First agenda without hesitation,” Vance said in a statement shared exclusively with Yellowhammer News.
“Barry Moore has been that ally from day one. I’ve personally endorsed Barry’s campaign because I’ve seen his character and commitment firsthand. He’s exactly the kind of fighter President Trump needs in the Senate.”
Moore thanked the VP for his endorsement and said he looks forward to taking up that mantle in the upper chamber.
“Vice President Vance has never backed down from the America First fight, and I’m proud to have him join me in this one,” Moore said.
“Besides President Trump, no one has done more in the last year to end illegal immigration, drain the DC swamp, and restore affordability to working families. I’m proud to have both of their endorsements, and I look forward to joining their fight in the Senate.”
The three-term congressman has been stacking his federal endorsements recently.
Just yesterday, Moore was endorsed by Chairman of the U.S House Agriculture Committee GT Thompson. Since launching his campaign, Moore has also been endorsed by U.S. Senators Steve Daines (R-Mont.), Tedd Budd (R-N.C.), Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.), as well as U.S. Reps. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.), among others.
Moore is up against Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall, former U.S. Navy Seal Jared Hudson, and others, in the 2026 Alabama Republican Party primary — now 90 days away.
