University of Alabama System approves tuition increases for 2025-2026 academic year

Students attending schools within the University of Alabama System will face increased tuition starting in the 2025-2026 academic year. The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees approved the tuition hikes during an April meeting, following a recommendation from the Finance Committee.

According to WHNT, Dr. Dana Keith, the UA System’s senior vice chancellor for finance and administration, stated that the decision to raise tuition was made after careful consideration. Keith emphasized that the increase was necessary to ensure financial stability and to continue managing rising operational costs while supporting the universities’ educational missions.
