One of Alabama’s U.S. Senate candidates in the 2026 race believes he’s the best person to represent veterans in the Yellowhammer State.
Morgan Murphy, who has served in the Navy Reserves for the last 26 years, received the endorsement of nearly 90 veterans, including one from every county in Alabama to succeed Tommy Tuberville for the U.S. Senate Seat in Alabama.
“I have served in the Air Force for 32 years and Morgan Murphy represents our values,” said Colonel Douglas “Cinco” Dimaio of Autauga, Alabama. “Dedication and service to the nation. Morgan Murphy will make an excellent senator for the great state of Alabama. I hope other veterans and Alabamians join me in my support of Morgan Murphy for the U.S. Senate.”
Murphy is a national security and foreign policy expert who has worked for the outgoing Senator as well as the first and second Trump Administrations.
“Serving my country’s military has been one of the greatest honors of my life, and when I am elected to the Senate, I will proudly serve the more than 300,000 veterans from Alabama,” Murphy said.
“As the next Senator, I will always remember those who have worn their nation’s uniform and been willing to fight and die for their nation. Too often, our veterans come home from military conflicts and are forgotten by our political establishment in Washington, D.C. I will be their voice and their advocate on Capitol Hill and, most importantly, never vote to send a son or daughter of Alabama to fight in an endless war as so many reckless senators have in the past.”
Murphy already has the support and endorsements of the most senior ranks of President Trump’s national security leadership team.
Since announcing his bid for the Senate, Murphy has received the endorsement of President Trump’s former Sec of Defense Christopher Miller, former Deputy National Security Advisor K.T. McFarland, former Press Secretary and fellow Navy reservist Sean Spicer, Special Presidential Envoy Lt. Gen. (ret) Keith Kellogg, and former Secretary of Operations Ezra Cohen.
Murphy is currently running against U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise), Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall, and former U.S. Navy SEAL Jared Hudson.
