U.S. Rep. Gary Palmer: The Biden administration is ‘lawless’

Over the weekend, a group of protesters picketed outside of a Washington, D.C. restaurant where U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh was eating dinner. Some of the protesters demanded the restaurant staff make Kavanaugh leave, and eventually, the justice had to sneak out the backdoor.

This comes just weeks after a man was arrested outside Kavanaugh’s home for planning to assassinate the justice.

U.S. Rep. Gary Palmer (R-Hoover) said Tuesday on the “Rick & Bubba” radio show that this was just another example of President Joe Biden’s administration not enforcing the law.

“This is a lawless administration,” Palmer said. “It’s not just what Merrick Garland is doing — it’s that they’re not securing the border as the law requires. All over the country, you’ve got district attorneys that are not prosecuting criminals as the law requires. And then on top of that, they’re letting thugs off but calling parents who show up at a school board meeting terrorists.”

The congressman suggested the attorney general would be investigated by Congress if Republicans were to win back the majority.

“I think he will be called before Congress when we’re back in the majority to give an account for this,” he suggested. “There’s a possibility that impeachment may be filed against him.”

Palmer said the overreaction by some pro-abortion groups to Roe v. Wade being overturned would actually hurt the Democrat Party in the midterm elections.

“Their actions would in no way encourage people to want to come out and support their candidates,” he warned. “What they’re doing is more reminiscent of anarchists than people who live in a representative republic. …I don’t think going out and firebombing on crisis pregnancy centers, churches, and other places is a way to win the debate. We will not be intimidated into submission.”

He also talked about why many Democrats were fine with the lack of enforcement by the Justice Department under Biden.

“I think there is a segment of the population that’s sympathetic to a lot of the criminal element,” he said. “I know this will probably be controversial, but there are people in elected office that despise this country. They despise our place in the world, they have a perverted view of our history.”
