U-Haul is offering 30 days of free self-storage to those impacted by Monday night’s tornado in the Fultondale area.
The offer is available at three U-Haul facilities nearest to the damage caused Monday night that killed one teenager and injured dozens of others.
“The damage from this tornado and the associated storms is widespread and significant,” said Scott Fall, U-Haul Company of Central Alabama president. “As people begin their clean-up efforts, we want to offer them a secure place to store their belongings at no cost for one month.”
A full accounting of the damage caused by the storm is not yet available. Investigators rated it as an EF-3 storm with peak winds of about 150 mph.
