Authorities arrested two more people Thursday in connection with the Saturday night shooting at a Sweet 16 birthday party in Dadeville. The incident left four people dead and 32 wounded.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said Willie George Brown Jr., 19, of Auburn and Johnny Letron Brown, 20, of Tuskegee were arrested Thursday and each charged with four counts of reckless murder.
Ty Reik McCullough, 17, and Travis McCullough, 16, both of Tuskegee, and Wilson Hill Jr., of Auburn were arrested Wednesday. They also face four counts of reckless murder.
The suspects are being held in the Tallapoosa County Jail without bond.
Among those killed was Philstavious Dowdell, the brother of Alexis Dowdell, who was celebrating her 16th birthday party at a dance studio in downtown Dadeville where the shooting unfolded.
Also killed were 17-year-old Shaunkivia Nicole Smith, 19-year-old Marsiah Emmanuel Collins and 23-year-old Corbin Dahmontrey Holston.
“This is absolutely the beginning, this is not the end,” ALEA Sgt. Jeremy Burkett said at the time of the original arrests.
District Attorney Mike Segrest said earlier the suspects will be charged as adults.
“The State of Alabama will be requesting no bond,” Segrest said. “We mentioned four counts of reckless murder. Obviously, that just includes the four deceased that have been recorded. We’ve got a lot more victims.
“We’re going to make sure every one of those victims has justice.”
