The Alabama Crimson Tide is always among the more star-studded rosters in college football, and that’s not something that has really changed in the transition from Nick Saban to Kalen DeBoer.
While the results on the field were not as strong as they’ve been in the past in 2024 — the talent is still there.
On3 released a ‘Way-Too-Early’ first-team All America roster ahead of spring camp getting started over the next few weeks and the Tide had a representative on each side of the ball:

To no one’s surprise, rising sophomore Ryan Williams is on the offense alongside fellow young sensation Jeremiah Smith of Ohio State. Williams had over 850 yards and 10 total touchdowns during his freshman campaign famously just at the age of 17 years old.
Now a legal adult, the anticipation for Williams’ second season is at a fever pitch.
On defense, the Tide also got a nod in rising senior defensive lineman LT Overton. Overton, a former top recruit, transferred to Alabama prior to the 2024 season from Texas A&M and wound up being a major piece of the Tide’s defense with 42 tackles and two sacks, playing in all 13 games.
No other team had more than two players on the roster with teams like the Florida Gators, Texas Longhorns and the Clemson Tigers all having two.
Along with Smith for Ohio State is another former Tide superstar in safety Caleb Downs, who transferred up North in the chaos of Saban’s departure and posted a sensational sophomore season.
It won’t be long before Alabama fans get to see their superstars take the field and football season will be here before we know it.
