U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) isn’t mincing words when it comes to his criticism of U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and some of her recent comments at the Munich Security Conference.

It has been widely speculated that Ocasio-Cortez is attempting to burnish her foreign policy credentials before potentially running for President in 2028.

During one of the panel discussions, the congresswoman claimed that the Trump administration is a “grave threat” to the “rules based order.”

“I think this is a moment where we are seeing our presidential administration tear apart the transatlantic partnership, rip up every Democratic norm, and, you know, really calling into question, as was mentioned by by Dick Carney at the World Economic Forum, the rules based order that we have,” Ocasio-Cortez  said.

Tuberville made it clear that lawmakers shouldn’t being going overseas to slam on the President in such a manner.

“It’s embarrassing to see representatives of the US government going overseas and bashing this country,” Tuberville wrote on X. “If you hate it so much here, you can leave.”

President Donald Trump also criticized her comments at the conference.

“I watched AOC answering questions in Munich – this was not a good look for the United States,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One.
