U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville is continuing to gain the support of organizations across the state as he looks to become the next governor of Alabama in 2026. On Wednesday, Tuberville’s campaign announced that he has secured the endorsement of yet another influential group, the Alabama Associated General Contractors. The AAGC, first founded in 1920, is the oldest and largest non-residential construction association in the state.

“I am thankful for the support of the Alabama Associated General Contractors,” said Tuberville (R-Auburn). “Joe Biden’s bad economic policies made prices go up, which created problems for our construction industry. Thankfully, President Trump is back in the White House and working around the clock to get inflation under control and our economy back on track. As Governor, I will partner with President Trump to get rid of burdensome regulations and usher in the Golden Age of Alabama’s economy.”

AAGC leadership praised Tuberville’s support of the construction industry.

“The Alabama Associated General Contractors are proud to endorse Senator Tommy Tuberville for Governor of Alabama,” said Billy Norrell, CEO of Alabama AGC. “Coach understands the needs of Alabama’s construction industry and has been an advocate for us in the United States Senate. Alabama AGC looks forward to working with him to continue the strong building environment in Alabama through his pro-business policies.”

Additionally, three leading Alabama business associations recently endorsed Tuberville, citing his record of advocacy for the business community and commitment to economic growth.

The endorsements come from the Business Council of Alabama (BCA), the Alabama Forestry Association (AFA), and the Alabama Concrete Industries Association (ACIA) — groups representing a wide range of industries across the state.

The Alabama Republican Party primary election for the office of governor will be held May 26, 2026.
