This week is one of the best in Birmingham of the entire year with the Regions Tradition coming to Greystone Golf and Country Club, but before the Champions Tour players tee it up, the morning before brings the annual celebrity pro-am.
Looking at the pairings is always entertaining, but one of the more notable groups to tee off at Greystone is the one featuring U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL).
The Senator is paired with not one, but two country music stars in both Jamey Johnson and Riley Greene. Even more incredible is the pro featured in the Tuberville group: John Daly.

Other notable names include Nick Saban, who is on a team with Charles Barkley and pro golfer Stewart Cink. Saban’s successor, Kalen DeBoer, is also playing and has been paired with Ernie Els. Former star quarterbacks Greg McElroy and AJ McCarron are playing with Tom Lehman.
Georgia head coach Kirby Smart has been lined up with SEC commissioner Greg Sankey and Davis Love III.
It should be a great week in Birmingham, and it all starts this morning with the pro-am having started at 6:50 a.m. CST.
