Tuberville announces outreach coordinator for U.S Senate reelection campaign

Less than a year after his election, U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) is already ramping up his political operation in preparation for future races. Alabama’s junior senator announced that he has named Terri Connell of Clanton as his campaign outreach coordinator for his reelection bid to the United States Senate.

Prior to her new position on the campaign, Connell formerly served on the official Senate staff as Hoover regional director. Connell previously served as Tuberville’s scheduler during his 2020 campaign for U.S. Senate.

“The people of Alabama sent me to DC to be their voice,” said Tuberville. “Terri worked with our supporters and volunteers on a daily basis for over a year during the campaign.”

Tuberville expressed the importance of maintaining relationships with grassroots supporters.

“We’re not sitting around waiting until 2025 to put together a great political team,’ he advised. “With Terri in this new role, our team will be well represented at Republican Party activities, and conservatives across Alabama will continue to have a sounding board they can reach out to directly.”

As a newcomer to the political arena and first-time candidate for public office, Tuberville defeated incumbent Sen. Doug Jones (D-AL) in the 2020 general election, 60.1% – 39.7%.

Tuberville earlier this year announced Elizabeth Williams of Montgomery as his campaign finance director.
