U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville officially received his committee assignments for the 119th Congress. Alabama’s senior senator will be continuing his work on the Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC), Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry (Ag), Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs (SVAC), and Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee (HELP). He will be joining the Senate Special Committee on Aging (Aging).
With Republicans in control of the Senate and his committees finalized, Tuberville (R-Montgomery) is looking forward to getting back to work for the people of Alabama.
“Republicans have officially regained the majority here in the U.S. Senate and we’re hitting the ground running,” Tuberville said. “I’m proud to announce that I kept my committee assignments on Ag, Armed Services, Veterans’ Affairs, Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions, and this Congress, I also secured a fifth committee assignment on the Senate Committee on Aging.”
“I’m excited to continue advocating for Alabama’s priorities on these committees. Now it’s time to put our money where our mouth is. For four years, we have been holding the Biden administration accountable for their failures on the border, the economy, and national security. Now is our opportunity to show leadership by delivering tax cuts for the American people and helping President Trump secure our southern border.”
Tuberville has served on the Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC), Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry (Ag), and Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs (SVAC) since first entering office. He was officially assigned to the committees in February 2021.
