Trump sees election betting odds soar over Harris

With just over three weeks until the 2024 Presidential Election, the contest between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump is narrowing, as recent betting odds show shifts in Trump’s favor.

Over the last two months since Vice President Kamala Harris was given the nomination and entered the race in place of President Biden, things have been extremely volatile in terms of betting odds for who will win between Harris and former President Donald Trump.

By the middle of August, Harris had taken the lead and seen her odds peak at as high as 55 percent. She maintained a steady lead throughout the month of September, but since the Vice Presidential debate between U.S. Senator JD Vance and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, Trump has started to take command.

According to Election Betting Odds, Trump’s odds have climbed back up to 53.1 percent as of Friday morning with the last week in particular being key. Harris sits at 46 percent and has seen her chances drop nearly five percent over the last week, while Trump has seen his chances climb by 4.7 percent.

With time running out until Election Day, Trump will try to open up an even larger lead as things start to trend in the right direction for the former President.
