The Troy Trojans baseball program is expected to have a special season this year.

For the first time in the entire history of the program, the 2025 Trojans are ranked within the top-25 in D1Baseball’s preseason rankings coming off a 37-22 season which saw them finished third in the Sun Belt Conference.

During the 2024 season, Troy reached a No. 21 national ranking which was the first time the Trojans have been ranked in over a decade, since the 2013 season.

Head coach Skylar Meade, who has won 109 games in his first three seasons, is in uncharted territory with the most wins in program history in the first three seasons of a coach’s tenure.

Players like Brooks Bryan, who enters the season coming off a 2024 campaign in which he broke the school record for RBIs in a season (85) and 2023 Sun Belt Player of the Year Shane Lewis return to guide Troy to what hopefully could be a very fortuitous season for the Trojans.

The team is the highest ranked within the Sun Belt and hopes to have a serious say when the postseason and potentially NCAA Tournament come around.

Everything kicks off at Troy a few weeks from now with a season-opening three game set at Riddle-Pace Field beginning on February 14 against Bellarmine.
