June Jam, the annual charity benefit concert hosted by the band Alabama, has announced perhaps its most star-studded lineup ever.
The Fort Payne natives will be joined on stage by Grammy-winning country group Shenandoah, former American Idol winner Taylor Hicks, “God Bless the U.S.A.” singer Lee Greenwood, and Old Dominion, the reigning Academy of Country Music Group of the Year.
The festival will also feature performances from Montgomery Gentry, Mark Willis, Exile, John Berry, The Castellows, and the Malpass Brothers.

June Jam, being held for the second consecutive summer after a 26-year hiatus, will take place on June 1 at the VFW Fairgrounds in Fort Payne. The event will start at 12 PM and will last for the entire day. Alabama will close the festival.
The concert will benefit “those in need and disaster relief in and around the state of Alabama.” According to the band, the 2023 edition of June Jam drew around 11,000 fans and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for charitable causes.

“When we started the first June Jam in 1982 as a charity concert event, it was attended by over 30,000 fans,” said bass player Teddy Gentry in a statement. “At the time, it was the largest country music festival in the United States. Now we are getting ready for our 18th concert. We want to welcome everyone to Fort Payne, Alabama, our hometown. Come have a great time and help others in need!”
“Our wishes are that Fort Payne will take June Jam, and it will go on forever,” added lead singer Randy Owen. “We lost [guitarist] Jeff [Cook, who died in 2022], and when me and [bass player] Teddy [Gentry] are gone, hopefully the city will continue with the June Jam. We want this to continue to help the city, the town, the state, and just help people in general.”
“We are excited and look forward to playing our songs for y’all at this year’s Jam,” said Owen. “We have a true mutual love for our fans, and they always support the band and the June Jam Foundation.”
Tickets for the event, which range from $49-$250, are on sale now at Ticketmaster.
