Six men have been arrested in Albertville following a sting operation targeting local offenders engaging in acts of online child exploitation.
The Albertville Police Department and Covenant Rescue Group, a nonprofit fighting human trafficking, conducted the investigation.
The suspects were taken into custody at pre-arranged locations after interacting with law enforcement officials posing as minors.
Authorities have charged the individuals with traveling to meet children for an unlawful sex act and electronically soliciting children. The men arrested and accused of the Class A felonies are:
- Jeremy Andrew Cockrell, 24, Wellington, AL
- Hernan Flores Ramirez, 25, Huntsville, AL
- Charles Allen Parker, 44, Jacksonville, AL
- Salvador Ramirez Resendiz, 23, Huntsville, AL
- Dustin Shane Sims, 44, Boaz, AL
- Roberto Salvador, 43, Boaz, AL
The suspects were taken to the Marshall County Jail, where they are each being held on a $1,000,000 bond.
