Senate candidate Jared Hudson slams ‘out of touch elites’ for allowing transgenders to compete in female sports

Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate and former Navy SEAL, Jared Hudson, is calling out the D.C. establishment for allowing biological males to compete in girls’ sports. In a post on X, the Alabama native specifically took issue with transgender competitors taking home female state titles in Democrat run states.

“Girls’ sports are under fire. Just over the weekend, biological males competing in girls’ sports won competitions not only in California but four other blue states,” said Hudson. “This kind of nonsense has to end. It’s absolutely ridiculous.”

For Hudson, who has three young daughters, the fight to protect girls’ sports is personal.

“There are two genders, period. I don’t care who in Los Angeles or New York it offends,” he continued. “Those two genders are different. That’s why we have to have boys’ sports and girls’ sports. I’m not going to let a bunch of out-of-touch elites continue to ram this trash down our throats. Americans have had enough. Alabamians have had enough.”

Hudson’s post on X received attention from arguably one of the most prominent advocates for women’s sports in the nation, Riley Gaines. The former collegiate swimmer reposted the veteran’s comments.

Hudson praised Gaines for her “fearless leadership.”

In a recent campaign ad, Hudson explained why he’s qualified to hold the office.

“I’d say the biggest thing that qualifies me is I’m not a career politician,” he said. “The problem with career politicians is that they seek political ambition, not service. My heart is in service and service to you, the people of the state of Alabama. I need to go to Washington, D.C., on behalf of you and not bring the D.C. issues back to the people of Alabama. Send a warrior to D.C.”

Hudson previously ran for Sheriff of Jefferson County in 2022.

The party primary election for the open U.S. Senate seat will be held on May 19, 2026.
