Saban enjoying retired life at The Masters

Former Alabama head coach Nick Saban is clearly enjoying his retirement.

While in years past he would have been spending his week preparing for A-Day, this time around it was a much more relaxed version of Saban at Augusta National golf club taking in The Masters.

Saban joined ESPN’s ‘Welcome to The Masters’ coverage and spoke with Laura Rutledge about a wide range of topics including if Ms. Terry has gotten sick of him being at home yet and if he’s still eating oatmeal cream pies every morning.

“Every day,” Saban said with a smile on his iconic breakfast. “I talked to the lady who is gonna be a [College] Gameday, she told me she’s all set with the Little Debbie’s and I said ‘at least you got your priorities right.'”

Rutledge asked Saban whether or not Ms. Terry is ready to kill him yet with him being at home, to which Saban said perhaps the most relatable thing he has ever uttered.

“I’ve found out if I do my chores, then I can go play golf. So I get up early and get my chores done and then it’s like ‘now do I have a free pass to do what I want?’…I make my bed, I take the garbage out, I have to wait for her to eat together, and I have to leave a little food on the plate because that’s polite,” he said.

Another picture surfaced of Saban on his boat yesterday morning with Ms. Terry looking as happy as ever and even sporting some facial hair:

Clearly, Saban is enjoying some well-earned downtime after a coaching career that was perhaps the most legendary in the history of college football.
