As SEC football fans count down to the start of the 2026 season, Regions Bank is offering a closer look at four of the conference’s newest head coaches through a new video podcast series debuting ahead of SEC Football Kickoff Media Days.
The Birmingham-based bank announced Thursday the launch of “Regions Extra: Welcome to the SEC,” a free video podcast featuring Auburn head coach Alex Golesh, Arkansas head coach Ryan Silverfield, Florida head coach Jon Sumrall and Ole Miss head coach Pete Golding.
According to Regions, each hour-long episode explores the coaches’ personal journeys, leadership philosophies, coaching careers, and the experiences that shaped them before arriving in the Southeastern Conference.
Hosted by SEC Network personalities Peter Burns and Chris Doering, the series is available on the Regions Bank YouTube channel. Regions will also share selected clips from each episode on its Instagram and Facebook channels, giving fans multiple ways to follow the conversations. A preview of the series is available now.
The podcast launches just days before the 2026 SEC Football Kickoff Media Days, scheduled for July 20-23 in Tampa, where head coaches and players from all 16 SEC schools will preview the upcoming season. Regions serves as the official bank of the Southeastern Conference and partners with the league throughout the year on financial wellness initiatives for student-athletes.
“The connection fans have with SEC football is unlike anything else, and for nearly 30 years, Regions has been proud to support SEC student-athletes and their commitment to excellence,” Paula Drake, Regions’ chief marketing and communications officer, said. “We’re thrilled to launch this podcast series spotlighting the conference’s newest head football coaches and giving fans a chance to get to know them beyond the sidelines. No matter who you root for, there’s something here for every SEC fan.”
Burns said the idea behind the series was to help fans get to know the conference’s newest coaches away from the football field.
“The concept grew from a desire to learn who these new coaches are both on and off the field,” Burns said. “We were blown away with the stories they shared about their personal journeys to becoming a head coach. It’s arguably one of the most interesting projects I’ve worked on in more than 10 years covering the conference.”
In addition to the podcast, Regions continues its partnership with the SEC as the presenting sponsor of SEC Startup, a televised competition that showcases student-athlete entrepreneurs. The third annual competition will air July 20 during SEC Football Kickoff Media Days on SEC Network.
The first full episode will feature Arkansas coach Ryan Silverfield, with interviews featuring Golesh, Sumrall and Golding to follow.
