Alabama Public Service Commission (PSC) Place 2 holder Chip Beeker recently released a campaign ad taking aim at President Joe Biden over his administration’s liberal energy policies.
The television ad outlines Beeker’s reelection bid being targeted by environmentalists and supporters of the national left’s climate agenda.
“Joe Biden doesn’t like Alabama values or Chip Beeker,” says the ad narrator before transitioning to a clip of the president.
“This MAGA crowd is really the most extreme political organization that’s existed in American history,” the ad presents Biden saying.
The narrator continues, “And Biden’s allies have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars trying to defeat Chip Beeker because Chip Beeker supports an America First energy policy because Chip Beeker opposes and fights Biden’s Green New Deal.”
Beeker concludes, “I’m Chip Beeker. Our gas prices are sky-high because Joe Biden has failed America.”
Watch:
In the May 24 GOP primary contest, Beeker garnered 43.15% of all votes cast. Robert McCollum, the incumbent Republican’s primary challenger, notched a spot in the runoff and earned 35.84% of the vote.
Shortly after the primary election, Lt. Gov. Will Ainsworth endorsed Beeker’s candidacy and issued a warning over the consequences of failing to defeat left-wing energy policies.
“[I]f the liberal Democrat extremists are allowed to win, energy prices will skyrocket, jobs will disappear, and Alabama’s economy, which is currently the best in our history, will go into freefall,” asserted Ainsworth.
Beeker is a former Greene County Commission chairman and previously served as a member of the Alabama Republican Party (ALGOP) state executive committee. Prior to his election to the PSC, Beeker owned and operated Beeker Catfish and Cattle Farms in Eutaw.
Beeker and McCollum will face off in the June 21 Republican primary runoff election.
