Pro-Britt super PAC ad touts ag support, promotes American energy independence

The Alabama Conservatives Fund (ACF), a super PAC supporting Republican U.S. Senate hopeful Katie Britt, on Thursday released an agriculture-themed television advertisement touting the candidate’s energy policies.

The PAC’s ad is the latest in its million-dollar campaign promoting Britt’s candidacy and is backed by a six-figure budget, according to a release. GOP primary voters will be reached by the ad campaign through broadcast, cable and text messages. The ads will run in the Birmingham and Huntsville media markets.

The 30-second spot features Doug Trantham of Calhoun County’s Trantham Farms speaking on the hardships farmers have faced due to the Biden administration allowing “inflation to run wild.”

The 47-year farmer asserts in the ad that Britt will “drive down fuel prices and make America energy independent.”

The ad concludes with Trantham saying, “Katie Britt is the only logical candidate for Alabama because she is an Alabamian. Other candidates, one has been a career politician for 40 years and the other one is not even from Alabama. Katie Britt will be a very strong fighter for Alabama against Joe Biden and his liberal agenda.”

Watch:

In a statement, ACF executive director Dalton Dismukes asserted that Britt was the “only candidate” in Alabama’s U.S. Senate race that would work to reverse Biden’s “disastrous economic policies.”

“Katie Britt will work tirelessly to lower gas prices for Alabama families and make America energy independent when she’s elected to the Senate,” declared Dismukes. “Katie Britt is the only candidate for Senate who will fight Joe Biden’s disastrous economic policies and stand up for Alabama farmers like Doug.”
