President Trump: ‘The University of Alabama has a brand – and that brand is winning’

The University of Alabama welcomed a historic guest to Coleman Coliseum on Thursday evening, as President Donald J. Trump delivered a rousing address during the school’s spring commencement ceremony.

Trump was introduced by none other than legendary former Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban, who drew thunderous cheers as soon as he stepped on stage. Saban took the stage and gave a short and sweet speech before introducing the President.

With Saban in the house, Trump called on the fact that through championship after championship, Saban has helped to enforce a brand at the University which has become synonymous with winning.

In a moment that produced one of the loudest applauses of the night, Trump talked about what UA’s brand has become over the years:

“For the University of Alabama, good isn’t good enough, tough isn’t tough enough, and great isn’t great enough,” Trump said. “The Crimson Tide does not rest, does not quit, and does not stop winning…That’s why the University of Alabama has won more football games in the last decade than any college football team in America. That’s not bad! And it’s why last fall you beat Auburn for the fifth year in a row!”

“The University of Alabama has a brand, and that brand is WINNING!”
