A North Alabama parent is concerned the Huntsville-based U.S. Space and Rocket Center’s Space Camp is employing a biological male, and self-identified transgender individual, as a team lead and hall monitor who has access to female dormitories.
Thus far, the U.S. Space and Rocket Center has not responded to any request for comment or information from Yellowhammer News.
The original Facebook post from Huntsville father, Clay Yarbrough, currently has over 6,000 shares on Facebook.
The post received more attention from the viral political outlet, Libs of TikTok:

Yarbrough said that he confirmed with the camp director, Robin Soprano, that the individual, Molly Bowman, is an employee.
“I have an employee by the name that you have stated, and that’s as much as I can share with you right now,” Soprano told Yarbrough on a recorded phone call.
Yarbrough pressed the camp director for more information, but was told that he was “getting into hypotheticals” when he repeatedly asked if Bowman would have access to the girl’s dormitories.
Bowman’s social media pages appear to contain extremely graphic content that should be viewed with discretion:
Alabama elected officials weighed in on the matter on this week. Official statement were released by several Alabama congressmen and U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville:
It is imperative that Space Camp remains a safe place for children to learn and grow in STEM education to become the next generation of scientists, engineers, and astronauts.

The situation currently unfolding at @SpaceCampUSA is unacceptable. When parents send their kids to Space Camp in Alabama, they should be confident they are going to a safe, educational environment.
Space Camp should have the safety of our children as their first priority.
