Former Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban has stayed in the spotlight since he announced his retirement after the 2023 season, and fans were desperate to know what he was gonna get up to on a day-to-day basis now that he is no longer coaching.
Of course, Saban has stayed busy with endeavors such as College GameDay and other television opportunities, but fans who want to know what he’s up to around the house were delivered a golden story this week by the man himself about he and his wife Miss Terry.
While speaking to SEC analyst Paul Finebaum at the Regions Tradition Pro-Am in Birmingham, Saban revealed that Miss Terry has been keeping him as busy as can be:
“The day I retired, Miss Terry gave me the ten commandments of retirement, and within one week, she said ten is not enough.”

“I’m not good at not having to do,” Saban told Finebaum with a laugh. “The day I retired, Miss Terry gave me the ten commandments of retirement, and within one week, she said ten is not enough…so I’m not ready to retire, I need something to keep busy and stay out of her hair and I like working.”
Saban doubled down on not leaving coaching because of the current chaos, but rather feeling his age was becoming an issue.
“I didn’t get out of coaching because of the system in college football, I got out because of my age, I thought it was affecting the program, I didn’t want to ride the program down and I think the people at Alabama right now are doing a great job with it.”
Clearly, Saban is not regretting hanging up the whistle, however he might just have miscalculated how much Miss Terry was gonna have for him on his to-do list.
