Nick Saban: ‘Please get your COVID-19 vaccine’ — ‘Want full stadiums this fall’

In a public service announcement released Wednesday by the Alabama Department of Public Health, University of Alabama Crimson Tide head football coach Nick Saban urges Alabamians to get their COVID-19 vaccinations.

“College football fans and players both want full stadiums this fall,” Saban says. “Let’s make sure we can safely make this happen by getting vaccinated. Please get your COVID-19 vaccine. We want Bryant-Denny Stadium loud again this coming season. Roll Tide!”

U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), basketball legend Charles Barkley and SEC commissioner Greg Sankey have also taped similar messages, which came together at the 2021 Regions Tradition.

Vaccines are currently available free of charge to all Alabamians ages 12 and older.

“The vaccine is our ticket back to normal, and I continue to feel optimistic and hopeful in the positive direction we are moving in as a state,” Governor Kay Ivey stated last week.
