Nick Saban in VP race with long odds

Former Alabama head coach Nick Saban has previously stated on the record that he would not get involved in politics in a professional capacity or run for any kind of office.

That didn’t stop BetOnline from putting the legendary coach on their list of odds for who will be the Democratic nominee for Vice President.

Saban sits at +25000 or 250/1 to be the candidate, meaning you could bet 1 dollar to win $250. To put it simply, it’s a long shot beyond long shots, and Saban sits at the same odds as Oprah Winfrey.

Some people who are seen as having a more likely chance according to oddsmakers are George Clooney and Mark Cuban, who each have 100/1 odds on the same book.

So no, it’s not a significantly bigger shot than 0 percent. But both in politics and in sports, you truly can never know.
