Tuskegee University was the site of a mass shooting early Sunday morning that killed one, wounded twelve, and led to the injury of four others not struck by gunfire.
In the video below, bystanders took cover as automatic gunfire rang out across the campus around 1:30 a.m.

Authorities have since arrested Jaquez Myrick, 25, of Montgomery, in connection with the Tuskegee shooting.

“Myrick was found leaving the scene of the shooting that occurred on the campus of Tuskegee University,” the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said in a statement. “Myrick was arrested and charged federally with possession of a machine gun.”
Tuskegee is now a closed campus and has relieved its chief of campus security following the fatal shooting. The Alabama Bureau of Investigation is leading the investigation.
