National group launches billboard campaign in Alabama thanking Sen. Britt for legislative action on childcare access, affordability

A non-partisan advocacy group has announced the beginning of a billboard campaign across Alabama thanking U.S. Senator Katie Britt for her work and leadership on the recently introduced bipartisan child care package.

Engage for Common Sense Solutions said their goal is to elevate Britt’s (R-Montgomery) efforts in co-sponsoring the Child Care Availability and Affordability Act and the Child Care Workforce Act with fellow U.S. Senator Tim Kaine (D-Va.). Set to begin this week, the billboards will feature messages of appreciation for Britt, highlighting key aspects of the proposed legislation.

Thus far, the bills have garnered substantial support from various organizations advocating for children, families, and small businesses.

“We believe it’s crucial for constituents to be informed about legislative efforts that directly impact their lives,” the organization said. “Senator Britt’s work on this child care package is a prime example of bipartisan cooperation addressing a critical need for Alabama families.”

The billboard campaign is expected to run for several weeks across major highways and communities in Alabama.
