Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce names Lizzie Maymon as new Executive Director

The Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce has appointed Lizzie Maymon, an experienced insider, as its next executive director. Maymon has been with the Chamber since August of last year, serving as the Events and Membership Coordinator.

“To the Chamber and Mountain Brook Community, I am thrilled to announce that I’ve accepted the incredible opportunity to serve as the new Executive Director of the Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce,” said Maymon. “From the moment I joined as the Events and Membership Coordinator, I’ve been encouraged by how this community comes together and supports its residents and businesses.”

“As I step into this new role, I am excited to continue promoting our businesses, community, and quality of life.”

Maymon expressed her appreciation for both the outgoing Executive Director and the Chamber.

“I want to extend a thank you to the Executive Director search committee for their confidence in me and to the previous Executive Director, Emily Jensen, for encouraging and guiding me in my Events and Membership role. It’s an honor to follow in the footsteps of those who have led the chamber with such dedication and vision. I consider it a privilege to uphold the chamber’s mission of fostering growth and prosperity and work closely with each of you to make Mountain Brook an even better place to live, work, and thrive.”

For Maymon, the Birmingham suburb is a treasured place.

“As a Birmingham Native, I have cherished memories here in the Mountain Brook community including walking at Jemison Park, eating at the amazing restaurants, participating in the local theater programs, and finding the perfect gift in the villages,” Maymon said. “Mountain Brook is truly a special community, and I plan to continue to support this outstanding city.

“I am ready to begin this new chapter and am excited to serve you and the Mountain Brook community.”
