Motorcycle-riding bank robber flees Springville PNC Bank with cash

A motorcycle-riding gunman robbed a Springville PNC Bank in broad daylight Monday, then vanished down Village Springs Road before police could arrive.

Springville Police said the robbery happened at approximately 12:38 p.m. on July 13 when a man wearing a motorcycle helmet, riding pants and a riding jacket entered the bank.

According to investigators, the suspect placed a handgun on the counter and demanded money from the cash drawer. After obtaining an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect fled the bank on a motorcycle, traveling on Village Springs Road toward Clay.

No injuries were reported during the robbery, police said.

The Springville Police Department is investigating the case with assistance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and surrounding local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.
