The Alabama Farmers Federation announced its endorsement of veteran Birmingham educator and former Briarwood Christian School administrator, Kelly Mooney, for District 3 of the Alabama State School Board.
“I am honored to receive the Farmers Federation’s endorsement,” Mooney said of the news. “The Federation and I share the same conservative values and the same concern for the future of our children’s education in our state.”
District 3 consists of Bibb, Chilton, Coosa, Elmore, and Shelby counties along with parts of Jefferson, Montgomery, and Talladega Counties.
Kathy Gordon, Montgomery County Farmers Federation president, expressed confidence in Mooney’s abilities.
“Kelly Mooney will work hard to ensure our children get what they need in the classroom and that their parents have a voice in their education,” said Gordon. “She will work hard to advocate for our school children to see they get the quality education they deserve.”
