Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe hosted a two-day youth camp at Hillcrest High School in Tuscaloosa through SANIL (Student Athlete Name, Image and Likeness) where nearly 600 young people participated.

When talking to the kids after the camp, Milroe had a little bit of fun when he was asked about his now former coach Nick Saban:
“Coach Saban is 28 years from being 100 years old”

Asked about whether or not he misses coach Saban, Milroe responded:
“100% I do miss coach Saban. He’s a big reason why I came to Alabama, to see him go is gonna be tough on us. But we have to realize that coach Saban is 28 years from being 100-years old, so we gotta let him retire in peace!”
Arriving at Alabama in 2021, Milroe played under Saban for three years and one as a starter, Milroe’s first as QB1 and Saban’s final year leading the program.
The pair certainly accomplished a ton in their first season with Milroe at the helm, winning eleven straight games and going undefeated in the SEC to give Saban his eleventh SEC title as a head coach.
Though Saban will not return in 2024, Milroe will play out his fourth season in the program under new head coach Kalen DeBoer, who reached the national championship in just his second season leading the Washington Huskies.
