SEC Media Days kicked off on Monday morning in Atlanta, Georgia, and as is always the case, it’s the unofficial start to the college football season.
With fans desperate for any piece of information as they continue to try to run out the clock until toe meets leather, every word delivered by coaches, players, and reporters is invaluable.

The fireworks on “Radio Row” started early when former Alabama quarterback and current SEC analyst Greg McElroy said on WJOX in Birmingham’s McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning that he has heard something absolutely insane from a source.
McElroy said someone ‘in the know’ has informed him of their belief that former Alabama head coach Nick Saban is not done with coaching.
REPORT: Greg McElroy said a person ‘in the know’ believes Nick Saban will return to coaching👀
“If it wasn’t someone notable, I would never say a word.”

“This is a little bit out of left field, but the question was asked of me…a very much in the know person that I have a lot of respect for and have spent a lot of time around and just really, really admire,” McElroy began. “They seem to think Nick Saban’s not done coaching. I had a similar reaction. He’s pretty adamant that he thinks Nick Saban will be coaching again..Look, if it wasn’t someone notable, I’d never say a word.”
McElroy did not reveal his source but insisted it was someone notable, and while asking Paul Finebaum if he believed it, Finebaum adamantly said no.
If McElroy and the mystery source proved to be right, Saban’s return would be an even bigger story than his retirement.
Whether that could mean a return to the college game, trying his hand at the NFL again, or even coaching his grandchildren in youth ball is anybody’s guess.
Fans will still have to see it to believe it, but McElroy putting the story out there and sharing that he has heard it is an incredible piece of information regardless.
